We are a small and diverse team of counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors who have come together to develop a counselling service with the sole aim of supporting the community of Hebden Bridge through offering affordable counselling and support to the people of the surrounding area. We keep our team small so that there are no unnecessary expenses and we can run our small organisation most effectively. Confidentiality is at the heart of what we do and we understand what living in a small town can be like. We describe ourselves as being friendly, respectful and professional.
Our counsellors are from well established counselling & psychotherapy colleges and universities across the North of England. All are DBS checked, fully insured and keenly adhere to the ethics and principles of their professional membership organisations within counselling and psychotherapy. We all deeply care about our vocation and supporting others, it’s what we do best. Our therapists all have very individual skills, knowledge and experience and this is important as it means we are able to match our clients with the best possible therapist for them.
We are a flourishing non-profit organisation built on respect for difference and diversity. We reinvest all our profits into developing the service and offering subsidised therapy. Our therapists are registered members of the BACP at a minimum, are fully insured and have a current DBS certificate. We uphold the Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions in all our work. Our therapists share a passion for what they do and we are run by therapists ranging in level of qualification and experience and we feel this enables us to best meet the needs of the people we offer our service to.
When you contact us you can be assured that we treat every enquiry with the care and sensitivity it deserves. We want to make reaching out as easy and straightforward as possible for you.
We currently have both trainee and qualified therapists waiting to work with you. We try our best not to hold a waiting list which means that our priority is to match you with the most appropriate therapist for you as soon as possible. From first enquiry to initial assessment session we want you to feel supported and that starts with communication. If you would like to make an enquiry you can self refer today.
Trainee sessions are from £15 per session for 50 minutes and sessions with newly qualified therapists are £30 for 50 minutes.
